Carl Ketcherside (1970)
Carl Ketcherside delivers a sermon at the Appalachian Preaching Mission (APM) on Thursday, February 5, 1970 in Johnson City, Tennessee. Ketcherside argues that every Christian has a responsibility to serve God and should grow in their faith so they may serve God to the greatest extent possible.
Ketcherside has served as editor of the newspaper the "Mission Messenger" and has authored multiple books such as "The Twisted Scriptures."
In the sermon, Ketcherside references Hebrews 3:12-15.
After the sermon, APM music director Dean Jacoby leads the congregation in "Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus." In the original audio, Jacoby sung "Remind Me, Dear Lord" before the sermon; this has been removed due to copyright restrictions.
