The entire 350+ audio tapes of the Appalachian Preaching Mission have now been digitized by the Archives of Appalachia!
The Preaching Mission committees utilized several techniques to promote the mission. Ads were placed on taxis (or tried to be), full-page ads in newspapers, and radio and TV spots. In 1977 a three-day fast was suggested for attendees to prepare them for the upcoming mission.
