Ernest T. Campbell (1964)

Ernest T. Campbell delivers a sermon at the Appalachian Preaching Mission (APM) on Wednesday, February 12, 1964. Campbell states the common assumption that only Christians can be moralistic is false, and argues that Christians should be focused on being God's children rather than just being moralistic.

Campbell served as the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan and later became pastor of the Riverside Church in New York City.

Before the sermon, the hymns "Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus" and "Beautiful Savior" are sung, and "Where He Leads Me" is sung afterward. Music led by APM music director Dean Jacoby.

Relevant documents attached below include a letter to Ernest Campbell requesting a preaching audio tape, a 1965 spiritual life covenant (which would be similar to the decision card mentioned in the audio), and the 1964 Johnson City Appalachian Preaching Mission brochure.
